Colorado Fall Engagement Session
This Colorado Fall engagement session with Kyle and Sara was so fun to capture! They both knew months ago that they wanted to have their engagement portraits captured in the Fall colors. And some life happenings and weather rolled in and I was worried we were going to lose our opportunity to get them all the Fall color they had been dreaming about! But even with an early snowfall, the color stuck around and we had a glorious sun shine filled day to capture them both in.
I got connected with Sara and Kyle through Emma and Jenson’s wedding this last August. Sara had reached out to me just before the wedding and I felt so bad when I realized after the wedding that in all my busyness I had neglected to seek them out to say hello! They were so sweet to not want to interrupt me, though, and I loved getting to hang out for a couple hours at their engagement session instead!
We started off in downtown Castle Rock to capture them both in the Fall colors and then headed up into the mountains to Mount Falcon to catch the sun setting. I loved that we were able to capture them in both locations! Just wait until you see their sunset photos over the mountain range.
Even though these two didn’t start off their journey in Colorado, their journey brought them here. Sara transplanted all the way from Minnesota to be with Kyle. And now the two of them are planning their wedding while Sara finishes up her masters degree and Kyle works at the Air Force Academy. I’m so excited for these two and their Pinery at the Hill Wedding coming up next summer!
