Colorado Fall Family Pictures | Dexter Family

These fall family pictures were extra fun for me because of the privilege it was to capture another photographer’s family! Melanie and Tyler are wedding and family photographers themselves and came all the way up from Colorado Springs to Parker for their family portraits. And our location, which is normally super busy, felt like we had the place to ourselves. So that, plus the sunshine and all the laughs their sweet little man had us doing gave us the perfect evening for capturing their little crew.

Keeping up with posting and sharing on social media can be fun, but I find that more and more I’m forgetting to do just that. So it takes lots of intention to be sharing and be active there. So when Melanie told me she found me through Instagram, it made my heart glad that the work that goes into being a present contributor there makes a difference. I do love that platforms like Instagram and Facebook allow for so many connections I otherwise would not have made! And what a big, wide world of wonderful people I have met through them!

I loved spending the evening with Melanie and Tyler and their beautiful kiddos. Ashton’s joyful energy and eagerness to play made me smile their whole session, and Melanie’s quiet and gentle way of redirecting him was just the sweetest! I’m excited to share so many favorites from their Fall session here in Colorado (which has hung on so much longer than expected!). I love both the quiet sweet moments and the energy filled ones we were able to capture for them.
