Last month I had the honor of capturing Lindsey and Frankie’s engagement pictures for Felicia Marti Photography. Lindsey and Frankie got engaged on the beach in Hawaii last year, so they were hoping for something totally different for their engagement pictures. And getting wintery, snow-filled engagement pictures was just the ticket! And wouldn’t you know it has snowed more days than not this February, but at their session last month there was no snow to be had! So we decided to head up into the mountains up to Sapphire Point Overlook and boy did it not disappoint! Their Sapphire Point engagement pictures were filled with gorgeous views filled with snow capped mountains and dusted evergreens (which made for the perfect spot)! We just had to work hard to pretend we weren’t freezing in the twenty degree weather – Lindsey and Frankie were such troopers as I looked on in my five layers!
You can’t tell from the pictures, but it was actually fairly busy when we pulled up! A different couple had just got engaged, another family was setting up for their wedding at the Overlook, and there were plenty of visitors just checking out the beautiful winter views! I’m always strategic to shoot in such a way that you can’t see distractions or other people and Lindsey and Frankie were willing to walk out into the snow, too! Can you believe Lindsey wore heels this whole session? Still so impressed!
We had so much fun out in the snow and their Sapphire Point engagement pictures are some of my favorites to date! I’m sharing some of the highlights from their session today – you’ll have to leave a comment below and let me know which is your favorite! And just wait til you see Lindsey’s gorgeous ring that Frankie designed all by himself!
I can’t wait for their May wedding this Spring!
