Last December I got to capture Alyssa and Jack’s engagement pictures for Felicia Marti Photography up in Golden, CO. This Golden Historic Park engagement session with Alyssa and Jack didn’t go quite as planned as a big snow storm rolled in early morning of their shoot! But even though we didn’t have a warm, glowy sunrise, we had falling snow!! I have learned to LOVE snow sessions and the white canvas all around bouncing clean light everywhere. And plus I think its all the more romantic! Alyssa and Jack were such troopers walking around in the cold without their coats, but you would never know they were freezing! They were all smiles the entire time, and I could just tell they so enjoyed just being TOGETHER above all else.
Jack just graduated from training camp with the Air Force down in warm Florida (and I’m so wishing I could be in Florida with the foot of snow sitting outside my window right now!) where he is officially a a bomber pilot! And Alyssa is just finishing up nursing school before the two get hitched this summer and start their lives together in Texas. I’m so excited for them both and this journey of being engaged and starting their lives together. So many sweet memories stored up for them both and I’m always so honored to be a small part of their story!
I can’t wait to capture their big day this summer up in the beautiful Colorado mountains! Enjoy some of my favorites from their winter snow-filled engagement session up in Golden, CO! This place was extra special to them both because while they were dating they would often go on walks through this beautiful little park. And I think we caught it just right with all the fresh fallen snow!
