Alyssa and Jack | Colorado Lookout Mountain Elopement

The skies were bright and filled with beautiful clouds looking down on Alyssa and Jack’s wedding day in Golden, CO. I had the honor of capturing their sweet wedding day for Felicia Marti Photography. This Lookout Mountain elopement could not have been more perfect to celebrate the marriage of these two, to celebrate the start of their journey together as husband and wife, and to look forward to celebrating their big wedding festivities next year when (we all hope) life won’t be so very affected by Covid-19 as it is this year.

Alyssa and Jack decided to say their vows to each other at the top of Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO. They found the perfect little secluded spot that allowed them to be with just their closest family and wedding party. There is something about a small, intimate wedding that makes it all the more special! The sweet moments that make up any wedding day are all the more shared and seen in an intimate setting. And somehow it makes you want to celebrate all the more!

Their simple day was filled with sweet details from a small cake to cut and share to popping some champagne and sharing a toast together. I loved capturing the little moments that made up their day! And their day has some of my most favorite photos from this year!

One challenge we faced was having their elopement happen in the middle of the day – right when the sun is overhead. Though its not my favorite lighting when you can choose, it was what it needed to be that day! And it was the perfect challenge for me! I was able to find the best light despite it all and loved the results we got – especially Alyssa’s dress toss overlooking the mountain range! I want to hire her maid of honor for all my dress tosses!
