These Castle Rock family pictures were such a joy to capture! The sweet Harman Family had picked a location just south of Castle Rock that is one of my favorites, and you’ll see why! The colors of Fall were just beginning to make their appearance and we still had the warm, summer weather to bask in.
I had the privilege of meeting the Harman family through the kindergarten graduation pictures I did this past Spring. I was so excited when Jennifer asked me to also capture their family this Fall. I have loved meeting so many families through our boys’ school, its been fun to watch that community grow! Especially as we share that experience together!
On this particular evening we couldn’t have asked for better light! The sun was bright and warm and it felt like we had the whole park to ourselves. I love my hour long family sessions for this reason because we’re able to slow down, look for the best light (and stay there!) and have fun together! The extra time allows the whole family to warm up to having pictures taken and by the time we’re done we’re all having too much fun to notice we’re taking pictures!
My favorite thing is when a family lets me know how much they’ve had (especially dad!) and I know I’ve done my job well. My goal has always been to make family pictures fun, enjoyable, and anything but awkward!
