These family countryside portraits were up in the air all week as we watched the forecast call for severe thunderstorms and cold temperatures. Thinking we’d have to change things to an early morning session, we watched the forecast as it changed last minute from thunderstorms to scattered showers. And would you believe we ended up with a warm, bright sunset filled evening perfect for pictures?
I got to meet Amy’s beautiful family through the kindergarten graduation portraits I took last month, and loved learning that Amy is also a 2nd grade teacher at my son’s school! I am so eager to find out if our Evan will have her as his teacher this next year as he enters 2nd grade! What a fun coincidence it was to discover that both her boys will be in the same grade as my two oldest!
Though this Fall so much is uncertain with all of life’s changes these last few months due to Covid-19, I know these uncertain times will have many long lasting memories and stories to tell for years to come.
I’m so glad we were able to capture these family portraits for the Webb family along with Amy’s mom and sister who were in town the same week. One of my favorite parts of being a family photographer is getting to meet so many families and learn a little of their stories! I loved spending the evening with them out in Parker capturing their countryside family pictures at McCabe Meadows. I love the open fields and the tall trees and the way we can capture the sun setting through them in the evening. Those warm and glowy portraits are my absolute favorites!
I picked some of highlights from their session to share on the blog today and hope you enjoy!
