This Sanctuary Golf Course wedding wasn’t originally supposed to happen, but when a change of plans from a destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico brought them back to Colorado for their wedding instead — it made for the perfect day to capture these two and their beautiful wedding day!
Lauren and Mike, like many couples I get to capture, met through Bumble – an online dating app where the girl makes the first move. In Lauren and Mike’s case, it was Lauren’s comment of “Nice fish” on one of Mike’s photos that started everything off for these two!
Their shared love of all things outdoors made it easy for them both to grow closer! And their shared drive for their jobs – Lauren as an ER nurse and Mike owning and running his own construction business – made sure they work hard and play hard, too! And Lauren’s care for Mike after a car accident sealed the deal for sure (and let their whole family know Lauren was here to stay!).
Their home away from home is still in Cabo, Mexico. I loved when I heard they were headed back there for their honeymoon.
It was such a joy to be a part of Lauren and Mike’s journey to their wedding day. From their mountain engagement session to their scenic golf course wedding day full of sunshine, beautiful details, and lots of laughter – this one was one for the books for sure!
Don’t miss all the amazing florals that Mike’s Aunt Effie came out of retirement to make happen for them! Still heart eyed over all these stunning peonies! And all of Lauren’s perfect details made her detail shots some of my new favorites, too.
