This Red Rocks engagement session was the perfect way to start our evening off capturing these two! With Springtime we never no what kind of weather we’ll be in for, but we were blessed with a day filled with sunshine and warmth. And just a little sunshine goes a long way, am-I-right??
Kaylee and Patrick wanted to get both the Red Rocks park and the mountain views for their session so we started off at Red Rocks Park before we headed up into the mountains to capture the rest of their session. Some of the tricky things we encountered during their session was because it was so sunny meant being a little more strategic with angles of light. We also had a good number of people walking the trail beside us. So being patient, looking for those best angles, and using tight compression made that all the easier. But these two were such champs! I always say it takes a good 15-20 minutes to warm up to being in front of the camera, but I could tell that they were comfortable and excited to be there right from the get-go!
Kaylee and Patrick first met in college five years ago when they were both studying marketing together. Though Kaylee grew up in Colorado, Patrick came all the way from St. Louis. I love hearing how couple’s stories and the decisions they made along the way led them together for their unique love story. And Patrick made sure to make his proposal unique, too. With coordinating with the beautiful Clocktower venue for a private dinner complete with surprising her with family there to celebrate afterwards it was such a romantic and special way to pop the question! Top it off with the most gorgeous, custom designed ring Patrick had made all the way back in St. Louis and it was a perfect day!
I can’t wait to celebrate these two on their wedding day this summer in Denver! I have a feeling its going to be filled with all the sunshine, all the joy, and the most beautiful celebration fo these two! Patrick and Kaylee, I can’t wait!!
