This Pines of Genesee wedding day started off in all the perfect ways with gorgeous sunshine and rooms full of laughter and excitement. Katie and Bryan got ready at the Comfort Suites just a five minute drive away from The Pines of Genesee wedding venue up in Golden, CO. Katie wanted to have a first look with both her Dad and her Groom so we made sure to make it happen! The side of the hotel had the perfect secluded pergola that made the ideal location for both. Just wait until you see their reactions – so priceless!
Katie and Bryan’s relationship started when they happened to meet at a party while Katie was visiting from out of state. And despite the long distance they hit it off! Brian took advantage of a memorable family vacation all the way in Venice, Italy and proposed on a gondola!
Their wedding day was the perfect celebration of their story and their marriage! Even with some last minute location changes due to schedule adjustments, they both rolled with it all with such grace and joy and I loved the location we opted for instead – some of my favorite bridal party portraits, for sure! And right after the family formals we quickly drove up to the overpass a two minute drive from the venue to get the sun setting over I-70.
The venue’s upper ceremony location always has the most perfect light as the sun is setting and this evening didn’t disappoint. I loved the sun peeking through the trees over the meadow!
I loved their exit shot, too, as we did a “faux exit” which allowed them to have an exit shot but still let the party go on! Enjoy some of my favorites from their Pines of Genesee wedding day!
