Have you ever dreamed of getting pictures in the snow? Its not as tough as you might think! Snowy portraits are a new favorite for me! We’ve had so much early snow this year its made for such beautiful snow filled pictures for so many families this Fall. Most often its the wind that makes outdoor sessions extra chilly, and when we’ve done morning portraits in the snow the day starts out so calm and so sunny. The snow reflects such beautiful, clean light all around – it makes for a photographer’s dream!
On this particular morning I got to meet the beautiful Kiehn family who traveled together from all over (including all the way from Hawaii!) to be together the week of Thanksgiving. The youngest members (if you can’t tell) are the most adorable twins! We had the most perfect, calm morning for their session with just a little bit of overcast skies which worked perfectly for capturing the gorgeous mountain views in the background!
