I love the beautiful chaos of walking into a family home and listening to the fun cacophony of little ones playing, people getting ready, faces coming and going. I think mostly because that’s exactly what my house was like growing up, and continues to be now with four little ones of my own. The noise and the din is comforting and makes me think of home. So needless to say walking into the Fruh’s house filled with all their extended family getting ready for pictures I felt right at home.
Liz and Jason are friends from church, so it was extra special to meet all of Liz’s sisters, brothers, and parents altogether in one place. It just so happened that the day fell on one of the coldest days yet of this Fall. And so our venture outside was a quick one, and we still managed some beautiful family portraits inside, as well (right next to the beautiful fireplace that Jason had just finished building!).
And because it was so cold, we didn’t go far from their home to get some snow filled pictures. But you probably can’t even tell that the outdoor portraits we took were right next to an elementary school building and playground surrounded by houses!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their extended family session!
I am just revisiting these photos today 1.5.21. I remember that cold fall day well! Laura was fantastic and treated us like family. Glad to have met you and grateful that you captured this flock of people so well!
So honored to have met you all and so enjoyed getting to capture your whole family together!! It was a joy spending the afternoon capturing you all!
