These wooded family pictures were fun and a unique look which I loved! Even though we were in a location that I’ve been many times before, because it was necessary to take the pictures in the middle of the day when the sun was high, it meant I had an entirely different angle to work with – which is not a bad thing at all! I love that it forces me to get creative and look for new opportunities. Not to mention a snowy cold front was moving in at the same time their sweet family was passing through Castle Rock on their way back to warm Texas! These kiddos (and parents!) were such troopers out in the cold most especially considering they weren’t used to the crazy weather swings we get here in the Spring.
When I met them in the parking lot I felt like I could talk them for hours hearing about their life stories! I love getting to know my clients and its so fun to find things we have in common! And I loved that they took the time to sneak in some family portraits in Colorado before they hopped in the car to drive all the way back to Texas! And all dressed up, too!
Towards the end of our session the sun decided to peek out for just a little while so I took every advantage of the bright, warm light we got to get a good variety of whole family shots to send them home with. I love the results we got and just wait til you see their dance moves – seriously so impressed! Enjoy some of my favorites from their session in the woods!
