This shoot was my first family portrait session coming out of being closed down from quarantine and stay-at-home orders. I was SO excited to get my camera out again, and SO honored that the DeWeese family chose me again this Spring to capture their family pictures. I love seeing their family again after another year and seeing how big their three boys have gotten! They always have so much energy and I love it!!
Going into these Spring mini sessions this May looked different than in years past mostly because it was much later. I love to try and catch the blossoms of Springtime (especially at this beautiful Littleton, CO park) but because of Covid-19, things were pushed back. This meant that we had less blossoms, but we still had Spring making its appearance!
We scheduled the DeWeese family close to sunset to catch the warm, soft light of the setting sun. Unfortunately this day we had lots of clouds blowing over, so we didn’t get as much of the warm sunlight as I had hoped, but still managed to get lots of glowy portraits when the sun peeked in and out of the clouds.
Their three boys were so amazing at taking pictures and I loved playing with them and coming up with prompts that allowed them to play and have fun, too! These shots always end up being some of my favorites from family sessions! You can see those along with more highlights from their family portrait session below! And when you finish, be sure to look back at how their boys have grown since last years’ session!
