As I hit the highway to head south for Matt and Ricki’s engagement session in Colorado Springs, the clouds loomed so darkly both behind and ahead of me. I prayed most of the way there for the skies to clear and give us some sunshine. This session was something extra special for me because this time around it was one of my youngest brothers and his amazingly sweet fiancé, Ricki, who I was getting to photograph. These two have waited many years for God to bring them both together, and I just love watching the joy they share together as they plan their wedding for this Fall!
We explored some of Ricki’s favorite hiking trails and the iconic Garden of the Gods to capture their engagement pictures. And just as we started the rain cleared, and we had beautiful sunshine to make their session all the more wonderful. And just wait til you see Ricki’s gorgeous London Blue Topaz ring!
