I have a confession to make – I don’t like pictures of myself when I’m pregnant. My body changes and looks so very different that its hard to see past the swelling and the size changes I go through. But this pregnancy I knew that if this was our last baby, I knew I’d want to have portraits to capture this fleeting time – to remember what this time was like as we all eagerly wait to see if our baby is going to be a new baby brother or sister to our kiddos. My sweet friend, Alyssum with Photography by Alyssum, so kindly took these portraits for us and I’m so thankful for the beautiful ways she captured our little growing family. And you know what? My attention was not so much on the way my body has changed so much in the last 6 months, but on the ways she captured my little ones hugging on me, snuggling together as we laughed and sang and explored for leaves and sticks, and the ways we all are anticipating this sweet little baby on their way to meet us. And its these moments I want to press into my memory and enjoy forever, no matter how my body changes. I want to treasure these times in my heart and these portraits will forever remind me of this time. So very thankful.
Thank you Alyssum so much for the ways you captured the joy of our growing family!
