Driving out into the countryside, into the peace and quiet that the world affords when you leave town, I pulled into the Matott’s driveway full of bright sun. Some trees still stood tall with frost half covering them from the morning’s freezing rain, but with the sun out the trees and earth alike were warming up.
I was greeted by Pepper, the family dog, as I pulled in eager to see the this precious family who had recently welcomed their second son – little Trey. Proud brother, Cooper, was quick to show me around their cozy country home complete with a tour of his room and new bunkbed. Their home was a picture of cozy with a wood fire just simmering down from the morning’s cold spell.
Its always a treasure to step into the world of my clients, to meet them in the space they live their lives. Toys spread lovingly across the living room floor, family pictures placed beautifully throughout, and a momma so beautiful carrying her newborn baby boy dressed in his Sunday best for his 1 month pictures.
It was such a joy to capture this sweet family and document this wonderful (yet sleepless) time in their lives that passes so quickly.
My sweet friend Kelli, thank you for sharing your home and lives with me for an afternoon. I hope these images may become treasured memories for many years to come!
