Happy Tuesday, ya’ll! I’ve neglected my Tuesday posts the last few weeks and its high time to catch up!
So some tidbits for you!
The week of our Adeline’s first birthday she started walking and is just all the faster at getting into trouble and trying to keep up with her big brothers! A funny fact, all three of our kiddos started walking the week of their first birthday! What are the chances??
I found out a few weeks ago that The Great British Baking Show was airing another season and I was missing it! So my sweet husband donated money to PBS just so I could watch all the episodes I missed! And now I’m on a baking frenzy trying all kinds of things! Last week I tried ciabatta bread for the first time, and I have to say it tasted pretty good! But it was very, very flat. More like ciabatta baguettes, I’m afraid. Any advice on baking bread at high altitude?? And now I’ve got a Paul Hollywood baking recipe book from the library and I can’t decide what to try first! Needless to say, I’ve already binged my way through all the episodes and now I’m working my way through the Masterclass episodes. If you like baking, you wouldn’t want to miss these!
And how many pumpkin spice lattes have you had since Starbucks brought them back at the beginning of September? I can actually still count on one hand, I’m pretty sure its only been three! I’ve got to figure out how to make these things at home!
And I was so excited to get our family pictures printed and now up in their frames on our dining room wall. I’ve been meaning to take some pictures to share them all week and now I’m sitting typing away in the dark and it will just have to wait until tomorrow. It made me think that doing a blog post about gallery walls and placement might be helpful!
AND I got a brand new camera!! I’ve been saving for months and months for this thing – a fabulous new full frame camera which has been so amazing to play with the last few weeks. I can already tell such a difference and I know its already my new favorite!
I’ll leave you with a collage of my three munchkins – one blue eyed, one brown eyed, and one blue eyed little girl whose eyes might be turning brown!? Has this happened to anyone else after their baby was one? And because its too cute not to share, my little mop wielding monkey to leave you with a smile!
Your photos of your kids always make me smile! Nathan’s eyes changed after he turned one. They had been such a brilliant blue, I thought for sure they’d stay–but then gradually they shifted over to brown!!
I haven’t done much baking of yeast breads lately, but when I do I always let the yeast activate with warm water and the sugar from the recipe for 10 minutes or so to encourage a strong growth before adding any other ingredients.
Oh thank you Tania! Its so crazy to me to watch Adeline’s eyes changing! I thought for sure they would stay just like Evan’s! And I will definitely have to try letting the yeast activate longer! Thank you!!
Love that little mop monkey! <3
