I’ve had the honor of photographing lots of sweet friends from my MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers), and through it I’ve had the privilege, too, of meeting all of their family! Its so fun to meet husbands and kiddos and grandparents and get to hear their stories. I feel like being a photographer has given me this special connection with my clients that makes me wish it wasn’t just a one time thing!
Meeting Kathryn’s amazing family was equally a privilege! Kathryn’s mom had flown in all the way from warm Florida and Chris’ mom had just recently moved all the way from New York. You could tell they were having a wonderful week together just being together with family. Our original plans had us taking portraits on the weekend, but Colorado sent a lovely snow storm to freeze us out of our plans. But thankfully the unpredictable Colorado weather warmed right back up for us and just a few days later we were out in the beautiful Colorado foothills.
The foothills were a perfect location to photograph their family, too. Kathryn and Chris are such wonderful examples of exploring this great state we live in. Your sweet Maggie is one lucky little girl! I need to get a list of your favorite places to hike with kids, Kathryn! I hope your family time was blessed and filled with lots of memories! My hope is that these pictures of your family forever remind you of this sweet visit with family and the joy of being together!
