This last week for us has been soaking up the sunshine. I’m so thankful for the warmer days and that I can tell my eager boys, “Yes! Play outside!” I love their enthusiasm for simply digging in the dirt and bringing me pieces of wood, rocks, sticks and the occasional insect. In fact, today my youngest brought me a bee on his hand asking, “Buzz? Buzz?” I was panicking inside waiting for this particular little insect to either sting my almost 2 year-old’s hand or my finger as I attempted to move him. Thankfully the “buzz-buzz” didn’t seem to mind and crisis was averted.
Their eagerness to be outside is so refreshing, though, especially as this weekend we headed out to explore a new park. Guess its also a popular photography location because we encountered two other groups getting their pictures taken. I’m excited to head back to Columbine Open Space in the near future for more exploring and pictures, too! Funny that I’ve never heard of this park and I grew up in Castle Rock!
Here are a few shots I gathered in the midst of our exploring. My stud-muffin of a husband was so gracious to indulge my exploring desire and help herd our two little boys. How thankful I am for his daily patience and example to our little dudes. I’m daily amazed how, as time passes, I can love this man more and more!
Love these Laura! Can’t wait to see you all again!
