A move across the country, a crazy house search, and buying our first home in Colorado has filled up the last six months for this little family. Needless to say, its been a wild ride! We’re so excited to be settling in, making friends, and exploring our surroundings (well, mostly new surroundings – we moved back to my hometown, Castle Rock!)
All the new beginnings have prompted me to explore more about new beginnings with my photography business, too. One of the first things that came to mind is that I didn’t have a mission or vision statement. What is it I do? And where do I aim to be one day? My husband, Abe – writer extraordinaire – helped me draft up exactly what that statement should be (in fact his excellent grammar skills are what caused us to meet some 10 years ago!). It may change or tweak some one day, but for now these are my goals and hopes going forward. I am so excited for new adventures and new experiences in store!
This is so beautiful, Laura!! This vision statement not only captures what you want to accomplish with your photography business, but also who you are as a person. If you’re ever out in Missouri, I would love for you to take pics of our family!
Oh thank you, Dana! That means so very much! I would just LOVE to take pictures of your sweet family one day!
