When I met Ashley at her Castle Rock home for little August’s 6 month pictures she was dressed for painting and had obviously been working hard at it! The walls were covered with pretty grey samples of paint, and she had even been painting all the ceilings, as well! My first thought as I saw her dressing her little man in the cutest plaid shirt and suspenders was, “this momma is a superstar!” Tackling a huge job like painting their entire first floor while caring for her 2 year old and 6 month old is by no means an easy task! But I could tell it was no big deal to her
It made me realize just how many hats a momma wears – she’s a comforter, caretaker, cook, maid, chauffeur, she’s a wife, a friend, a homemaker, a task manager, and so so much more. As moms you do what you have to, and far beyond what you even think you’re capable of for the love of your family. Creating a home and a space that feels welcoming, loving, and memorable for your family is just one small but meaningful part of being a mom.
Ashley, walking into your beautiful home reminded me so much more than just what a great mom you are, but how much you love and care for those around you! I’m so thankful to be privy to that small portion of your busy day! I’m so honored I got to capture some small moments of your sweet little man in the midst of life’s glorious craziness! I just loved capturing your sweet smily little Gus Gus!
